Levels of foregrounds in Gaussian and PySM simulations

This post provides plots for the discussion we had last week about the levels of foregrounds in the DC01.Y simulations.

The first plot shows the dust power spectra in the 3% patch used in the DC01.Y data challenge.

The Gaussian simulations are shown in green, the PySM simulations are shown in red (01) and blue (02). Both the difference between the levels of foregrounds in the different simulations and the rise on small angular scales are interesting.

The second plot shows the ratio in dust power spectra in the 3% patch used in the DC01.Y between the Y=02 version of PySM and the Y=01 version.

This plot shows the synchrotron power spectra in the 3% patch used in the DC01.Y data challenge.

As before, the Gaussian simulations are shown in green, the PySM simulations are shown in red (01) and blue (02). In PySM both the rise on small angular scales and the huge ratio between E and B are interesting.
